Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a CAD/avionics design specialist to prepare layouts, assemblies, and install models for the Transfer Stage Vehicle in the Lunar Permanence unit. You will release data sets using CAD/PLM tools and collaborate with subsystem teams to place avionics boxes within the vehicle model.

The role requires an associate degree in CAD & Design, 4+ years in aerospace, and proficiency in Creo Parametric, Windchill, and GD&T. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CAD & Design and 4+ years in aerospace or similar.
• Proficiency with Creo Parametric and Windchill.
• Proficiency in GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and standard fits.
• Experience managing large CAD assemblies, BOMs/ICMs/skeletons.
• Experience designing spacecraft avionics parts and assemblies.
• Strong written and verbal communication and cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design layouts, create detail parts, assemblies and install models.
• Release data sets using CAD and PLM tools.
• Interface with subsystem teams to place avionics boxes in the vehicle model.
• Review drawings to ensure alignment with specifications and standards.
• Apply engineering and manufacturing best practices to balance cost, schedule and performance.
