Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a designer to support spacecraft avionics and harness design. You will create, maintain, and release CAD data for the Transfer Stage within the Lunar Permanence Business Unit, collaborating with engineers to route harnesses and ensure designs meet standards.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in aerospace CAD, strong Creo/Windchill skills, and hands-on experience with large assemblies. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and collaboration in a spaceflight environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in aerospace development or similar industry.
• Proficiency in drawing generation and release using Creo Parametric and Windchill.
• Knowledge of avionics components and harness routing in Creo.
• Experience managing large CAD assemblies and BOMs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing design layouts, creating detail parts, assemblies, and installation models and releasing data sets using CAD/PLM tools.
• Interface with vehicle subsystem teams to route harnessing in the model.
• Reviewing drawings to ensure alignment with specifications and standards.
• Apply engineering and manufacturing standard methodologies to balance cost, schedule and performance.
