Job summary

Terracon is seeking a field/testing technician to perform on-site and laboratory testing of construction materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel, in Alabama. You will communicate results to the project manager, prepare reports, and assist with scheduling while maintaining equipment and safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 3–5 years of relevant experience, proficiency with Word/Excel, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant field/ lab testing experience or equivalent training.
• Experience with laptop use and MS Word/Excel.
• Valid driver’s license with clean history.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials.
• Communicate findings and data to project team and client representatives.
• Prepare data and observations in written and digital reports for daily submission to project manager.
• Maintain equipment, vehicles, and work areas; ensure safety standards.
