Job summary

Terracon in Mobile, AL is seeking skilled field technicians to perform testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel. You will collect samples, prepare data, and communicate results to the project team while adhering to safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma and 3–5 years of related experience, with proficiency in Word and Excel and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
3–5 years of relevant field testing/inspection experience.
Experience with laptop computer use and Microsoft Word and Excel.
Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
NICET/ICC/ASNT certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs testing, observation, and inspection as directed in accordance with training and the specified procedures.
Provides clear documentation of findings and results.
Performs basic analysis of data to verify accuracy before communication and submittal to the Project Manager.
Communicates information to Project Manager and other personnel as directed by the PM.
Maintains equipment and calibration.
Drive a vehicle such as a Ford F-150 or equivalent.
Adhere to strict safety standards and report safety issues to management.
Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
