Job summary

Bechtel Global Corporation is seeking a Materials Planner to support material management and coordination for a major project. You will coordinate between Engineering, Construction, and Owner, ensuring timely material availability and accurate reporting.

The role requires mobilization to site and close collaboration across disciplines. You will influence material identification, data sharing across software, and supplier prioritization to align with the Project Advanced Work Packaging program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) with 5–8 years of relevant experience, or 9–12 years of related work experience.
• Experience in materials management planning and coordination on large projects.
• Familiarity with procurement software, scheduling, and logistics for site deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Provides work process and systems expertise for materials management planning throughout the project life cycle.
• Collaborates with Engineering and Construction to ensure material identification supports reporting and distribution per the AWPP.
• Develops tagging/identification of materials across disciplines.
• Establishes a shared data set for cross-software model integration.
• Supports Project Controls with material lead times to inform the schedule and flag issues.
• Assists purchasing and analyzes supplier capacity to meet AWPP requirements.
• Coordinates laydown and warehouse space with Field Supply Chain.
• Keeps warehouse informed of erection and installation plans.
• Identifies material constraints that could impact the project.
