Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Materials Planning and Coordination specialist for a large gas-fired power project in Pecos, TX. You will mobilize to site and coordinate between engineering, procurement, and field teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and proper identification across disciplines.

The role requires strong experience in materials management, work packaging, and use of procurement automation tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 5–8 years of relevant experience or 9–12 years total experience.
• Experience in materials management, planning, and logistics on large-scale projects.
• Knowledge of procurement automation tools and Bechtel DSCS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide materials management planning throughout the project life cycle.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Construction to report material status.
• Develop material tagging and identification for each discipline.
• Define data sets for model sharing across software systems.
• Support Project Controls with material lead time data.
• Assist purchasing and manage supplier priority and RFI resolution.
• Coordinate laydown and warehouse space with Field Supply Chain.
• Inform warehouse of erection and installation plans.
