Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Materials Planner/Coordinator to support a large project site in New Albany, OH. You will manage material planning, coordinate with Project and Field Procurement, and ensure accurate reporting of materials for work package installation.

The role requires a bachelor's degree and 8–10 years of relevant experience, with strong knowledge of materials management, procurement, and logistics.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge in Materials Management including allocation tools, inventory controls, demand planning, and metrics.
• Familiarity with procurement, expediting, and logistics activities to support a global materials management program.
• Demonstrates ability to develop and upskill team members and communicate across all project levels.
• Preference for familiarity with Incoterms.

Responsibilities

• Acts as liaison between Project Supply Chain, Field Supply Chain, and Construction for reporting of materials.
• Ensures timely material delivery and sufficient quantity to support construction work.
• Coordinates with Field Engineering, Construction, and Subcontractors to implement work packaging on the project.
• Distributes materials accurately to Construction and Subcontractor installation locations.
• Determines best strategies for fabricated systems to maximize project value.
• Implements inventory controls and uses Supply Chain Automation tools to meet material needs.
• Identifies surplus materials to return to storage and supports design revisions or contingency plans.
• Participates in constructability look-ahead meetings and coordinates with warehouse for direct-to-installation issuing.
