Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking an experienced Production Support Engineer in Chicago for a 12-month hybrid role. You will provide production support within the Market Risk domain, resolve inquiries, and ensure the stability of feeds and batch processes.

You will coordinate with development teams, automate repetitive tasks, and manage incidents with timely notifications. Strong SQL, UNIX/Linux, Python, and ITIL/SDLC knowledge are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Production Support experience.
• Strong knowledge of SQL.
• UNIX / LINUX expertise.
• Experience with Autosys and Bob jobs.
• Python scripting proficiency.
• Familiarity with ITSRs, DynaTrace, and Splunk.
• Knowledge of SDLC and ITIL frameworks.
• Excellent written/spoken communication.
• Strong project and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a multi-regional team.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve business queries for Market Risk.
• Manage the user query mailbox and ensure timely responses.
• Resolve feed and batch support items, manage alerts and monitoring.
• Use ITSM, ITRS, JIRA, DynaTrace, and Splunk for updates and reporting.
• Manage incidents with timely notifications and escalations.
• Maintain documentation and contribute to knowledge management.
• Coordinate with development teams on resolutions.
• Assist with metrics reporting and Business Continuity testing.
• Identify automation opportunities to reduce repetitive tasks.
