Everforth Apex Systems is seeking a Production Support Engineer to provide end-to-end support for production applications, focusing on stability, reliability, and performance in a hybrid Chandler, Arizona environment.

The role requires 7+ years in production operations, with strong expertise in OpenShift, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling, plus cloud experience (AWS/Azure). You will lead incident triage, root-cause analyses, and collaborate across teams to implement fixes and enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end support of production applications, ensuring stability and performance.
• Conduct problem analysis, troubleshoot errors, and address performance issues.
• Perform proactive stability analysis to investigate performance concerns and improvements.
• Own root cause analysis and implement remediation.
• Lead chronic issue investigations to minimize business impact.
• Collaborate with Engineering, App Development, and Infrastructure to implement fixes and enhancements.
• Manage application management, business continuity, patching, and vulnerabilities remediation.
• Lead production incident triaging and respond to tickets to meet SLA.
• Provide on-call production support, including weekend rotation.
• Execute disaster recovery procedures and strategies.

Job Description:

Production Support Engineer

Location: Chandler, Arizona (hybrid)

Duration: 12 months

Role Overview

The Application Architect will provide end-to-end support for production applications, focusing on stability, reliability, and performance. This role involves in-depth problem analysis, troubleshooting of system errors, and leading investigations into chronic issues to maintain system health and minimize business impact. The position requires collaboration with various teams to implement fixes, updates, and enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end support of production applications, ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance.
• Conduct in-depth problem analysis, troubleshoot system errors, and address performance issues.
• Perform proactive application stability analysis to investigate performance concerns, system errors, and improvement opportunities.
• Take ownership of root cause analysis for problems and implement appropriate remediation.
• Lead chronic issue investigations to minimize business impact and maintain system health.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Application Development, and Infrastructure teams to implement break fixes, code updates, configuration changes, and production enhancements.
• Handle application management, business continuity, server patching coordination, and vulnerabilities remediation.
• Lead production incident triaging calls and respond to and resolve production tickets to meet SLA requirements.
• Provide production on-call support, including weekend rotation on a round-robin basis.
• Execute disaster recovery procedures and strategies.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information technology, or a related field.

Experience: 7+ years of experience in production operations. Proven experience in a production support or similar role, preferably in a CICD Platform environment.

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in OpenShift containers, Kubernetes, and Apache Kafka.
• Hands-on experience with Red Hat Ansible Tower, JFROG Artifactory, GitHub, and release orchestration platforms (e.g., XLRelease, Harness).
• Experience with build tools such as Cloudbees Jenkins or Github Actions.
• Hands-on experience with SaaS and cloud-based platforms like AWS or Azure.
• Expertise in Unix systems and scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
• Experience with artifact repositories, dependency management, and compliance engines.
• Strong understanding of the CICD pipeline.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Dynatrace and Splunk.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with database platforms such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of F5 Load balancer, GTM, high availability architectures, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Certification in Red Hat Linux, DevOps methodologies, or related fields.
