Volkert, Inc. seeks an experienced Senior Engineer/Construction Manager to support its Maritime and Port service line in the Gulf Coast Region.

The role will involve design and construction management for port and intermodal projects, with travel across the Gulf Coast and potential remote work as needed. You will lead design and construction execution, coordinate with clients, design firms, and contractors, and ensure adherence to regulatory and safety standards while developing execution plans

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Civil or Port Engineering Construction Management/Architecture/Engineering or related field.
• A broad design and construction management background and project/program management experience on large-scale port and maritime projects.
• Minimum 10+ years of relevant design and construction project management experience; previous experience as an architect/engineer, contractor, or facilities manager may be relevant.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.).
• Construction estimating and/or scheduling experience a plus.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen per federal guidelines.
• Valid driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR).

Responsabilidades

• Lead design engineer for port and maritime projects from concept through design and bid package preparation.
• Manage and deliver construction of port and maritime projects.
• Act as the Company's representative with clients and subconsultants during project execution.
• Act as Owner's Representative in communications with design firms, contractors, and suppliers.
• Prepare a Project Execution Plan (PEP) with staffing and schedules.
• Conduct project kick-off meetings and ensure quality control documentation.
• Maintain daily field coordination with rail operators and ensure safety compliance.
• Monitor progress and prepare monthly project reviews and progress reports.
