Job summary

Orion is seeking a Heavy Civil Construction Senior Project Manager for the Puget Sound area in the Federal Way, WA region. The role provides project engineering management support, develops bid proposals, estimates costs, and procures materials to ensure successful project delivery.

The candidate will manage project teams, interpret plans and specifications, schedule work, and uphold safety and environmental compliance while interfacing with customers and vendors on marine construction projects.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Management required with 8 years’ experience in marine construction or related field.
• Working knowledge of project management, procurement, estimating, scheduling, and safety/environmental compliance.
• Ability to learn technical aspects quickly and interface with all levels of staff; willingness to travel out-of-town for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead project management efforts to ensure profitable completion of marine construction projects.
• Provide guidance to Superintendents and Foremen; manage bid proposals and contract negotiations.
• Coordinate procurement of materials and services; interpret plans and specifications for project teams and customers.
• Schedule work activities to meet timelines; interface with suppliers, customers, and project personnel.
• Uphold safety and environmental compliance and participate in safety initiatives.
