Job summary

Orion Marine Construction is hiring a Project Manager to lead marine construction projects across the Southeast and Caribbean. You’ll work with superintendents, foremen, and craft teams on ports, docks, bridges, and waterfront infrastructure, managing schedule and budget while staying close to the work.

You’ll coordinate with field leaders, review plans and contracts, and ensure safety. The role is based out of Tampa headquarters with project assignments driven by underway projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Experience leading marine construction projects and coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of estimating, scheduling, procurement, cost control, and change management.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, scopes, and contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Partner with field leaders to plan and execute work, track production, and resolve field issues affecting safety, cost, or schedule.
• Build and manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and change orders; keep records current and flag risks.
• Review plans, specifications, scopes, and contract requirements; support estimating and proposal development.
• Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, subcontractors, and outside services.
• Keep clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and leadership informed on progress and decisions; lead project closeout and lessons learned.
• Reinforce safety expectations and stop work when unsafe conditions are observed.
