Job summary

Hanover Insurance Group, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Manager, Specialized Claims to lead a team of experienced adjusters handling the company’s largest and most complex specialized claims, including legal and medical malpractice, professional liability, and other specialized lines.

You will oversee daily operations, drive strategic initiatives, and mentor staff to build a high-performing, engaged workforce. The role may involve directly managing a personal caseload of high-exposure claims and guiding

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred in related claims field.
JD or equivalent experience strongly desired.
Experience handling high-exposure/multiline claims and complex settlements.
Excellent verbal and written communication with proven leadership skills.
State adjuster license and continuing education credits preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of adjusters handling the company’s largest and most complex specialized claims.
Oversee operational and technical functions in the Program Claim sphere with a complex book of business.
Develop and lead performance audits and collaborate to ensure transparency and reserving compliance.
Provide daily oversight of operations, workflow, and resources to align with business strategies.
Develop and drive strategic initiatives across the claims lifecycle.
Collaborate with leadership to assess resource needs and drive improvements in quality, service, and cost.
