Job summary

MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) seeks a Manager of Learning and Development to lead the design, delivery and evaluation of advanced training aligned with strategic initiatives. This role partners with senior management to ensure effective leadership development and organizational learning across the authority.

The incumbent manages training records and reporting, oversees instructional technologies, and coordinates internal and external resources to address business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Adult Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Industrial Psychology or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in progressive management initiatives in the development, administration, and implementation of training programs, preferably in a transit related environment.
• Experience in technical writing and curriculum development is required; cross-functional management and budgeting experience are also needed.
• Organizational Development certification (ODCP), CPLP, or Leadership Development Assessment (360 Degree, Hogan, etc.) is desired.
• Vendor management experience is desired. Excellent communications and presentation skills with senior management consultation capability.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver advanced training programs supporting leadership and professional development and new strategic initiatives.
• Monitor, measure and evaluate training effectiveness; align with business needs and efficiency goals.
• Consult stakeholders to develop objectives for individual or group programs.
• Provide vision for instructional technologies integration and maintain training records and reports.
• Ensure access to internal and external training opportunities for all agency staff.
