Job summary

Apex Fintech Solutions in Chicago seeks a Senior Manager of Accounts Payables to lead a high-volume global AP function, strengthening controls and driving automation and vendor relationships. You will build a high-performing team, implement ERP upgrades, and deliver data-driven insights to support cash flow planning.

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 10–12 years in AP, including 5+ years in leadership, with strong ERP and GAAP knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 10–12 years of professional experience in accounts payable or finance operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial or senior leadership role.
• Proven experience managing accounts payable in a high-volume environment with global operations.
• Strong experience with ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
• Expertise in driving process improvement initiatives and implementing AP automation tools.
• Deep knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and applicable regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the accounts payable team, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and career development.
• Define and implement the strategic vision for the accounts payable function, aligning with financial goals.
• Establish policies and procedures for accounts payable across processes.
• Oversee invoice processing, payments, and expense reimbursements; ensure timely processing.
• Drive AP automation, ERP upgrades, and cross-functional collaboration with IT and Procurement.
• Ensure SOX compliance and documentation for audits; monitor controls and risk.
