Job summary

GTI Energy is seeking a Manager, Accounts Payable to lead the full-cycle AP, ensure timely payments, and enforce strong internal controls. The role manages the AP team, drives automation, and collaborates with stakeholders to optimize processes while supporting the month-end close and audits.

The position is based in the Chicagoland area with a hybrid schedule; Mondays and Fridays remote, Tuesdays through Thursdays on-site, subject to management discretion.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Five+ years of accounts payable experience and supervisory experience.
• Experience leading AP teams and managing vendor relationships.
• familiarity with GAAP and government procurement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full accounts payable cycle and three-way matching.
• Review payments, ensure discounts, and manage batches (check/ACH/wire).
• Lead and develop AP staff; enforce internal controls and SOX practices.
• Drive process improvements using automation and system upgrades.
• Support month-end close and reconciliations; assist audits.
