Job summary

MVB Bank, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager to lead Fintech pricing strategy and economics in a remote-capable role. You will own profitability models, advise on pricing structures, and partner with senior leaders to optimize client engagements.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in banking/fintech, advanced Excel modeling skills, and deep knowledge of BaaS, deposits pricing, and NIM drivers. Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or related field with 7+ years in banking/fintech.
• Proven ability to construct complex and advanced Excel models.
• Working knowledge of banking economics, including deposit pricing, earnings credit, and NIM drivers.
• Familiarity with Banking as a Service (BaaS) and payments business models.
• Familiarity with sponsor bank economics.
• Experience in forecasting and analysis of unit economics and partner performance data.
• Ability to lead, manage, and prioritize multiple projects; strong presentation and communication skills.
• Advanced technical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Own fintech profitability strategy development, thresholds, and return requirements for evaluations.
• Develop and maintain financial models and projections for client profitability.
• Prepare pricing recommendations for new Fintech clients across components (fees, deposits, revenue share, terms).
• Lead Finance review and recommendations during client evaluation and present to committee.
• Communicate pricing requirements to fintech teams and renegotiation discussions.
• Maintain relationships with fintech personnel to align engagements with financial objectives.
• Participate in client meetings to discuss financial requirements and pricing.
• Collaborate on fintech strategy with senior leaders and sponsor bank relations.
• Ensure data availability for unit economics and partner performance analysis.
• Support various governance committees (ALCO, Finance, Pricing, Fintech Oversight).
• Provide strategic financial input on balance sheet, liquidity, and capital related to fintech deposits and revenue.
• Maintain fintech profitability models and monthly profitability reports.
• Develop and maintain budgeting assumptions for fintech in the overall plan.
• Prepare a rolling 24-month forecast and communicate assumptions to senior management.
