Job summary

MVB Bank, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Manager, Fintech Pricing Strategy & Economics to lead profitability modeling and pricing for Fintech clients.

The role partners with senior Fintech leadership and reports to Finance, focusing on pricing methodology, returns, and contract terms across the bank’s Fintech relationships. The position supports cross-functional teams, participates in key committees, and regularly communicates strategic financial insights to senior management.

Qualifications

• An undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related business discipline, with a minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience, including prior experience in banking and Fintech.
• Demonstrated ability to construct complex and advanced Excel models.
• Working knowledge of banking economics, including deposit pricing, earnings credit, and the drivers of net interest margin.
• Familiarity with Banking as a Service (BaaS) and payments business models.
• Familiarity with sponsor bank economics.
• Demonstrated experience in forecasting and in the analysis of unit economics and partner level performance data.
• Strong analytical, investigative, documentation, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong ownership of, and accountability for, work product.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and prioritize multiple projects, tasks, or workflows.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to influence business partners and executive management.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Advanced technical computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Highly organized, driven, and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Develop profitability strategies and pricing for Fintech relationships.
• Build and maintain financial models and projections.
• Prepare pricing recommendations for new Fintech clients.
• Lead finance reviews and present to committees.
• Collaborate with fintech leadership and sponsor bank teams.
• Monitor profitability and propose improvements.
• Support data required for unit economics analyses.
• Participate in liquidity, pricing, and ALCO committees.
• Provide strategic financial input on balance sheet, liquidity and capital considerations.
