Job summary

Axon is seeking a senior field-lead for Technical Account Management and Mission Engineering to drive deployment success across agencies in the Southeast US. You will own outcomes, mentor a high-performing team, and partner with Sales, Product, and Engineering to accelerate adoption of Axon’s platform.

You will coach teams on technical health, CJIS compliance, and executive-level communications, ensuring consistent delivery and measurable impact for public safety customers.

Qualifications

• Typically 7+ years in customer-facing technical delivery with 3+ years leading individual contributors.
• Proven coaching/mentoring record in developing teams.
• Technical range across hardware, software, cloud, networking, and integrations.
• Experience solving problems with technology—built, automated, or integrated solutions.
• Confidence communicating with command staff and senior stakeholders.
• Experience owning outcomes across a portfolio with clear operating cadences.
• Ability to obtain CJIS compliance and apply security judgment.

Responsibilities

• Own portfolio outcomes including deployment health, adoption, and time-to-value.
• Serve as senior partner for command staff, IT, and Axon leaders during critical moments.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, Support, PSO, and Customer Success, translating customer realities into action.
• Provide field insights to Product and Engineering about adoption drivers and platform improvements.
• Coach and mentor TAMs and Mission Engineers, developing individual career plans and stretch opportunities.
• Set expectations for customer ownership, onsite presence (3–4 days/week), and delivery standards.
• Build playbooks, delivery rhythms, and reusable patterns to scale excellence.
