Job summary

Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in New York is seeking a Senior Manager, Events Operations to lead the events technology strategy. This hybrid role partners with IT, MarTech and business units to ensure platforms support registration, data flows, and ROI.

You will own evaluation, selection, implementation, and optimization of the events tech stack, manage vendor relationships, govern data, and drive scalable processes and training.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to partner effectively with IT and Martech teams — translating event business needs into technical requirements.
• Strong project management skills with experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder technology implementations.
• Ability to translate technical concepts clearly for non-technical stakeholders, and business requirements clearly for technical teams.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience defining and reporting on technology performance metrics and event data KPIs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable advising and presenting to senior leadership.
• Familiarity with webcasting and virtual event platforms including Brandlive, ON24, or equivalent (preferred).
• Knowledge of enterprise integration frameworks and API-based connectivity between SaaS platforms (preferred).
• Education and Experience Bachelor's degree

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, evaluation, and management of the Firm’s event technology ecosystem.
• Own the data strategy for events — data capture, storage, reporting, and insights.
• Manage RFPs, vendor relationships, contracts, and ongoing performance assessments.
• Oversee implementation and configuration of event platforms; coordinate with internal teams and partners.
• Develop governance, processes, and training to scale the events function.
• Define and track KPIs for platform adoption, data quality, and ROI.
• Collaborate with Data & Analytics and Business Development on client data and pipeline reporting.
