Job summary

Yahoo Holdings Inc. is seeking a hands-on Sr Manager, Corporate Accounting to own personnel accounting including payroll, benefits, restructuring, long-term incentive, and bonus accruals, while leading a team of two accounting professionals responsible for monthly and quarterly close.

You'll report to the Senior Director, Corporate Accounting and partner with Finance, HR, FP&A, Legal, Procurement, and Finance Systems to implement strong US GAAP controls, SOX compliance, and automation using

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a large public company or complex global org.
• CPA preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SOX compliance, and corporate accounting operations.
• Experience with Oracle Financials; automation and AI in accounting encouraged.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets.
• Proven analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting and close activities for payroll, benefits, restructuring, and long-term incentive accounting.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close for personnel-related and non-personnel accounts.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses under U.S. GAAP and SOX.
• Strengthen SOX controls, documentation, evidence, and walkthroughs.
• Collaborate across Finance, HR, FP&A, Legal, Procurement, and IT on personnel cost questions.
• Serve as main contact for internal and external auditors; drive automation and AI adoption.
• Document and improve policies, procedures, and workflows; support controllership initiatives.
