Job summary

Yahoo Holdings Inc. in Reston, VA seeks a Sr. Manager, Corporate Accounting to own personnel accounting, payroll, benefits, and LTIP/ restructuring accruals while leading a team of two accountants through monthly and quarterly closes.

You will partner with Finance, HR, FP&A, Legal and Procurement, driving automation using Oracle Financials and AI tools, and ensuring SOX controls are strengthened.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
• CPA preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SOX, and corporate accounting operations
• Experience with Oracle Financials or a comparable ERP
• Advanced Excel skills with large data sets
• Experience with automation and AI tools in accounting
• Strong analytical and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee accounting and close activities for payroll, benefits, long term incentive and restructuring accounting
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities for non personnel accounting
• Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analyses per U.S. GAAP/SOX
• Maintain and strengthen SOX key controls and documentation
• Partner cross-functionally with Finance, HR, FP&A, Legal, Procurement, and Finance Systems on personnel cost questions
• Serve as primary contact for internal and external auditors
• Drive automation and AI adoption with Oracle Financials and tools like Gemini and Claude, validating outputs
• Document and improve accounting policies, procedures, and workflows
• Support controllership initiatives and special projects whenever needed
