Job summary

Yahoo Holdings Inc. is seeking a hands-on Sr Manager, Corporate Accounting to own personnel accounting including payroll, benefits, long-term incentive, and restructuring accounting, while leading a small team through monthly and quarterly closes.

You’ll partner with Finance, HR, FP&A, Legal, and Procurement, driving automation and AI to streamline processes and strengthen internal controls in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience in a large public company or global organization.
• CPA preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SOX compliance, and corporate accounting operations.
• Experience with Oracle Financials or a comparable ERP; Oracle Financials preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort with large data sets.
• Experience using automation and AI tools to improve efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to influence without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee close activities for payroll, benefits, LTI, and restructuring accounting.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close for non-personnel accounting.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses per US GAAP and SOX.
• Maintain SOX controls, including documentation and walkthroughs.
• Partner with Finance, HR, FP&A, Legal, Procurement, and Finance Systems on cost questions.
• Serve as primary contact for internal and external auditors.
• Drive automation and AI adoption using Oracle Financials and tools like Gemini and Claude.
• Document and improve accounting policies and workflows.
• Support controllership initiatives and special projects.
