Job summary

Yahoo is seeking a hands-on Sr Manager, Corporate Accounting to own personnel accounting including payroll, benefits, long‑term incentive, and bonus accruals, while leading a team of 2 professionals through monthly and quarterly close.

You'll manage journal entries, reconciliations, and variances under U.S. GAAP and SOX, strengthen controls, and partner with Finance, HR, FP&A, Legal, and Oracle Financials. Drive automation with AI (Gemini/Claude) and validate outputs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience in a large public company or similar global org.
• CPA preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SOX, and corporate accounting operations.
• Experience with Oracle Financials or comparable ERP.
• Advanced Excel and large data set handling.
• Experience using automation and AI to improve accounting efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting and close activities for payroll, benefits, long-term incentive, and restructuring accounting.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close for non-personnel accounting.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses per U.S. GAAP and SOX.
