Job summary

Yahoo is seeking a Sr Manager, Corporate Accounting to own personnel accounting, including payroll, benefits, and restructuring, while leading a team responsible for monthly and quarterly closes. You will collaborate across Finance, HR, FP&A, Legal, Procurement, and Finance Systems, driving automation and AI use with Oracle Financials to strengthen controls.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in accounting, CPA preferred, and strong US GAAP/SOX knowledge.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience in a large public or complex global org.
• CPA preferred; Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SOX, and corporate accounting operations.
• Experience with Oracle Financials or a comparable ERP.
• Advanced Excel skills and large data handling capabilities.
• Experience using automation and AI to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee accounting and close activities for payroll, benefits, LTIP, restructuring accounting.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close for non-personnel accounting.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses per US GAAP/SOX.
• Maintain SOX controls, documentation, evidence, and walkthroughs.
• Partner with Finance, HR, FP&A, Legal, Procurement, and Finance Systems.
• Serve as primary contact for internal/external auditors.
• Drive automation and AI adoption with Oracle Financials, Gemini, Claude; validate outputs.
• Document and improve policies, procedures, and workflows.
• Support controllership initiatives and special projects.
