Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Senior Manager, Centralized Facilities Design to lead prototypical concept design and oversee high-impact special projects within the Centralized Group’s Facilities division. You will translate brand standards into scalable, financially viable design solutions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with Rivian’s growth strategy.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of architecture or interior design experience in scalable retail, commercial, or hospitality projects.
• Degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
• Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, Figma and modern 3D Spatial software.
• Strong background in design development, FF&E, millwork detailing, and executive presentations.
• Proven ability to align creative vision with budgets, scalability, operational needs, and tight deadlines.
• Ability to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week (up to 5 days encouraged).
• Ability to travel occasionally to project sites, vendor facilities, and cross-functional workshops.

Responsibilities

• Lead concept design development for prototypical standards across fleet.
• Collaborate with Creative Studio and Centralized Standards teams to produce executable designs.
• Partner with end users and stakeholders to balance aesthetics, functionality, and financial targets.
• Select finishes, materials, and FF&E for durable, scalable execution.
• Guide project teams through programming to construction administration with proper documentation.
• Work with Architects of Record and Engineers of Record to maintain design intent.
