Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Senior Lead Project & Design Manager in Atlanta, GA to guide projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will partner with external design firms and internal teams to align requirements, budgets, and schedules while safeguarding quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Architecture or Engineering with 10-15 years of design management experience.
• Experience interfacing engineering disciplines with manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Expertise in advanced project management processes, construction docs, and financial controls.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, start-up environment with strong soft skills.
• Experience using VDC tools and cross-functional workflow management.

Responsibilities

• Design & Programming Leadership: liaison with external design partners and translate user needs into space programs.
• Engineering Oversight: coordinate disciplines and ensure systems support equipment and future flexibility.
• Financial & Legal Stewardship: manage financials up to 300k under DOA and handle vendor contracts.
• Project Controls & Risk Management: forecast budgets, manage risks, and use scheduling tools like P6.
• Construction & Quality Execution: provide design support during build, resolve RFIs and ensure handover.
• Exceptional Communication: maintain clear communication with executives and production staff.
