Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Senior Manager, Centralized Facilities Design to lead concept development for scalable standards and execute high-impact special projects across our physical footprint. You will translate brand narratives into tangible spaces, working with the Creative Studio and cross-functional partners to ensure consistency and financial viability.

You will mentor junior designers, drive design development, and manage collaborations with external AORs and EORs, while ensuring on-site

Qualifications

• 9+ years of architecture or interior design experience in scalable retail, commercial, or hospitality projects.
• Degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
• Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, Figma and modern 3D Spatial software.
• Strong background in design development, FF&E, millwork detailing, and executive presentations.
• Proven ability to align creative vision with budgets, scalability, operational needs, and tight deadlines.
• Onsite work at assigned location for 3–5 days per week.
• Occasional travel to project sites, vendor facilities, and cross-functional workshops.

Responsibilities

• Lead concept design development for prototypical standards across the fleet.
• Translate brand standards into executable concept designs for deployment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to balance aesthetics, functionality, operations and financial targets.
• Select durable, cost-efficient FF&E for high-volume, standardized execution.
• Lead project teams through programming, Schematic DD and construction administration.
• Coordinate with Architects of Record and Engineers of Record to maintain design intent.
