Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Lead Creative Designer for its Design and Standards team in Centralized Facilities. You will own hands-on concept development for scalable prototypical standards and contribute to flagship projects that push the brand forward.

You will translate brand direction into executable designs while partnering with Standards, Creative Studio, architects and engineers. You’ll own quality, explain design decisions, and help deploy standards plays across locations.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional architecture or interior design experience with a concentration on scalable retail, commercial, or hospitality work.
• Degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
• Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, Figma and modern 3D Spatial software.
• Strong design development experience with FF&E, millwork, and presenting design narratives to executives.

Responsibilities

• Translate brand direction from Creative Studio into executable designs and lead concept design for new customer touchpoints, creating foundational standards for scale.
• Own design development on select special projects and flagships, from programming through site feasibility and final documentation.
• Collaborate with end users and cross-functional teams to balance aesthetic, functional, operational, and financial needs.
• Specify durable, sourceable materials and finishes.
• Work with external architects and engineers to preserve design intent through execution.
