Job summary

Accenture is seeking a senior Malware Reverse Engineer to join its Security team's malware analysis and operational intelligence capability in Raleigh, NC. You will reverse engineer complex malware, unpack samples, and translate findings into high‑fidelity detections to support security operations and incident response.

You will mentor junior analysts, contribute to tooling in C/C++ and Python, and help map adversary infrastructure across campaigns while maintaining rigorous, code‑level analysis

Qualifications

• 10+ years in malware reverse engineering, exploit analysis, or related cyber analysis roles.
• 8+ years static/dynamic malware analysis on Windows and Linux.
• 6+ years reverse engineering tools (IDA Pro, Ghidra) and 3+ years with debugging/binary analysis tools.
• 5+ years analyzing packed/obfuscated malware and bypassing anti‑analysis.
• 4+ years low‑level code including assembly; 5+ years tooling in C/C++ and/or Python for malware analysis.
• 4+ years reconstructing C2 protocols and adversary infrastructure.
• 4+ years tracking malware behaviors and threat actor TTPs.
• 4+ years developing detection logic (YARA/Snort/Sigma).
• 3+ years reproducing or validating publicly disclosed vulnerabilities.
• 3+ years technical quality review experience.

Responsibilities

• Reverse engineer complex malware across Windows and Linux.
• Unpack and analyze samples to reveal behavior, infrastructure, and tradecraft.
• Translate findings into high‑fidelity detections for SOC use.
• Support incident response during critical events.
• Provide technical quality control over analytic outputs before dissemination.
• Mentor senior analysts and raise engineering depth.
• Deliver concise risk‑based updates to leadership.
