Job summary

Travelers Insurance in New York City is seeking an experienced Claims professional to manage severe bodily injury and complex liability claims. You will lead investigations, coordinate with counsel, negotiate resolutions, and guide underwriters on reserves and coverage interpretations.

Four years of bodily injury claim handling or equivalent litigation experience are required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Four years bodily injury claim handling experience or comparable claim litigation experience.
• Extensive negotiation and customer service skills are required.
• Advanced knowledge of coverage, liability and damages analysis and litigation management.

Responsibilities

• Directly handle assigned severe claims with FDV in the multi-million dollar range.
• Investigate claims by contacting policyholders, claimants, and witnesses to determine liability and damages.
• Negotiate disposition of claims with insureds or their representatives; coordinate with counsel on litigation.
