Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Sr. Maintenance Technician for Alta Wren in Cary, NC. The role involves diagnosing and repairing building systems, completing make-ready tasks for vacants, and maintaining grounds and amenities on a mid-rise community of 250 units. Flexibility for on-call and weather conditions is required.

The position requires EPA refrigerant certifications, a valid driver's license, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. On-site benefits and safety training are provided by Greystar.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1, Type 2, or Universal refrigerant certifications required.
• Valid driver’s license to operate golf cart on property.
• Ability to work inside/outside in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance by diagnosing the defect and repairing per safety standards and code requirements.
• Complete the make-ready process for vacant apartments, including pre-move-out inspection, punch list, scheduling vendors, and inspecting completed work.
• Track materials and inventory, follow checkout procedures, and notify supervisor for re-ordering needs.
• Complete documentation and paperwork promptly so service requests are properly recorded and tracked.
• Assist in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities; perform cleaning, painting curbs, and signage as needed.
• Support cost-control by repairing parts when possible and using materials efficiently.
