Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician for Alta Wren in Cary, NC. The role involves technical and mechanical work to keep buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meeting Greystar standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality.

Location: Alta Wren, Cary, NC. Schedule: Monday–Friday with rotating on-call duties. You will perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and prepare units for leasing, while following safety policies and ensuring accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• All certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property depending on property size, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies and code requirements.
• Makes the vacant apartment turn by completing pre-move-in inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, and inspecting work.
• Follows procedures to access materials and tracks inventory usage, returning items and notifying re-orders.
• Completes documentation to track service requests accurately.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities through cleaning, debris removal, and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.
