Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4-6 years of maintenance experience.
• Strong customer service skills are essential.
• Advanced knowledge in electrical, plumbing, HVAC or carpentry.
• Solid troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
• Ability to diagnose problems and recommend repairs.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and good time management.
• Certifications relevant to the region (EPA 608, Boiler, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair) within 9 months.
• Maintenance Tech I training within 9 months; Tech II within 12 months.
• Valid state driver's license with a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance and orderliness of property HVAC, mechanical, electrical, utilities and lighting systems, including inspections and repairs; oversee contractors on assigned projects.
• Control inventory of parts and equipment and perform repairs.
• Ensure adherence to safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Deliver high resident satisfaction through responsive, professional interactions; participate in 24/7 on-call maintenance schedule.
