Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking a Maintenance Technician 3 to lead a team and maintain store environments across multiple Nordstrom stores and Nordstrom Rack locations in California. You will support the Facility Manager to keep HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems fully operational and efficient.

The role emphasizes safety, preventive maintenance, vendor coordination, and mentoring Maintenance Technician I & II. Travel to multiple locations is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Associates or higher from a vocational school preferred.
• 5+ years hands-on facilities experience with mechanical emphasis (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Experience in predictive and preventive maintenance procedures.
• Proficient with reading electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Willingness to travel to multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Maintenance Technician I & II.
• Respond to break-fix and on-demand requests; delegate work orders.
• Coordinate with vendors and store leadership; manage parts.
• Perform preventive maintenance on critical equipment and document results.
• Operate and monitor building automation systems; troubleshoot alarms.
