Job summary

Nordstrom in the United States seeks a Maintenance Technician II to lead a team ensuring a safe, well-maintained store environment and daily readiness of facilities for business. You will support the Facility Manager in daily operations, respond to break-fix requests, and mentor junior technicians.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, equipment rounds, and collaboration with store leadership, vendors, and project teams to keep building systems functioning optimally.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; technical training preferred.
• 5–7 years hands-on facilities experience in mechanical maintenance.
• 5+ years experience with HVAC, refrigeration, electrical and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-demand and preventive maintenance on critical and non-critical equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems in store operations.
• Operate and monitor building controls and EMCS alarms, ensuring proper operation.
• Assist with parts ordering, vendor management, and meetings.
