Job summary
Nordstrom is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to lead a facilities team and keep store environments safe and fully functional. You will maintain HVAC, electrical and building systems, mentor technicians, and coordinate with vendors across multiple Nordstrom stores in a busy retail node.
The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, on-demand repairs, and adherence to safety procedures including LOTO and PPE.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years hands-on facilities experience with mechanical maintenance
- 5+ years predictive and preventive maintenance experience
- 5+ years of HVAC and refrigeration, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical skills
- Strong troubleshooting and multi-tasking abilities
- Ability to mentor and train junior technicians
Responsibilities
- Lead and perform preventive maintenance on critical and non-critical equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems in Store Operations
- Operate building controls and monitor building systems
- Maintain CMMS records and parts inventory
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and store leadership
- Assist with safety procedures and compliance; document outcomes
- Support FM with training and location emergencies
