Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to lead a team ensuring a safe, well-maintained store environment for customers and employees. You will support the Facility Manager across multiple Nordstrom stores and Nordstrom Rack locations, driving preventive maintenance and on-demand repairs.

You will mentor technicians, coordinate with vendors, manage parts and documentation in CMMS, and participate in store and project meetings to keep facilities operating smoothly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; vocational degree preferred.
• 5-7 years of hands-on facilities maintenance experience.
• 5+ years of predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
• 5+ years HVAC, refrigeration, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical skills.
• Able to troubleshoot basic input/output functions; low voltage tracing.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with all levels.
• Experience with CMMS and Coupa.
• Knowledge of networking systems and infrastructure; electromechanical maintenance.
• Project management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform preventive maintenance on critical and non-critical equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to Store Operations.
• Operate and monitor building controls and systems; EMCS alarms.
• Lead equipment rounds; identify and report malfunctions.
• Perform manual tasks and assist with parts ordering and vendor meetings.
• Promote safety and serve as safety champion (LOTO, PPE, heights, guards).
• Attend store/vendor/project meetings; document outcomes.
• Delegate maintenance tasks and mentor other technicians.
• Assist FM with training and coordinate with contractors; maintain CMMS records.
