Job summary
Ryder is seeking a Maintenance Technical Support Coordinator IV to own Tier 2 emergency roadside cases from start to finish. The role decides between internal technicians or third parties, resolves issues affecting uptime, and communicates with customers during breakdowns.
The position emphasizes deep maintenance knowledge, problem-solving, and collaboration with the RCRC to improve OEM quality, w arranty issues, and overall uptime. Proactive training and leadership are included.
Qualifications
- H.S. diploma or GED required.
- ASE certifications preferred.
- Five or more years in Ryder Operations (shop) environment preferred.
- Two or more years in Ryder operations direct customer service exposure preferred.
- Four or more years in transportation maintenance required.
- Two or more years in technical diagnostic and customer resolution exposure related to most major vehicle/engines in Ryder fleet required.
Responsibilities
- Assess, troubleshoot, and remedy roadside breakdowns with full autonomy.
- Coordinate service provider interactions with RCRC and leadership.
- Provide updated technical knowledge to maintenance team.
- Mentor Tier 1 call center team and share training.
