Job summary

Advocate Health in Milwaukee seeks an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance on building systems and patient-care equipment.

You will document work in CMMS, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, respond to emergencies, and support safety and compliance.

Requires a High school diploma or GED, 4+ years of equipment maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs; some weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in equipment maintenance.
• Driver's license required.
• Certification and/or additional training in a skill/trade/equipment/system applicable to the job.

Responsibilities

• Performs facility and equipment maintenance following codes and standards; documents in CMMS.
• Maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots mechanical equipment (motors, pumps, doors, fans, boilers, etc.).
• Maintains and troubleshoots patient care equipment (beds, wheelchairs, carts, tables).
• Handles electrical/plumbing/piped medical gas systems and HVAC; minimal guidance.
• Assists with grounds, carpentry, painting, and snow removal as needed.
• Responds to emergencies (leaks, floods, power outages, equipment failures); communicates status to requesters.
