Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years of equipment maintenance experience.
• Driver's license required.
• Basic computer skills including CMMS, BAS and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Performs facility and equipment maintenance in accordance with codes and standards; documents using CMMS.
• Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs mechanical equipment (motors, pumps, conveyors, doors, fans, boilers, heat exchangers, controls) within defined parameters.
• Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs patient care equipment (beds, wheelchairs, carts, tables).
• Maintains mechanical/electrical systems (HVAC, piping, electrical, water systems) with guidance.
• Performs routine to moderately complex general maintenance (grounds, carpentry, painting, snow removal).
• Responds to emergencies (Leaks, floods, fires, outages, equipment failures) as directed.
• Responds to building occupant requests; performs zone maintenance rounding; communicates status of actions.
• Conducts preventive maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
• Inspects and repairs fire doors, hardware, firewalls and smoke partitions.
• Reads blueprints and maintenance manuals to complete assignments.
