Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician in Austin, TX to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring building and grounds meet safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include completing work orders, making-ready units, managing inventory, documenting service requests, and maintaining common areas.

This role requires EPA 1 and 2 or universal refrigerant certifications, state/local licenses, and a valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on-site.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• State and Local certifications as required by jurisdictions.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs.
• Completes the make-ready process for vacant apartments, including pre-move-out inspections and vendor coordination.
• Tracks materials and returns unused items to the proper location; notifies supervisor for re-orders.
• Documents service requests accurately to enable proper tracking and reporting.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, painting curbs, and debris removal.
• Supports cost-control by fixing parts rather than replacing when possible.
