Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Tech to manage repairs, make-readies, and routine upkeep across community buildings and grounds. You will diagnose issues from resident requests, coordinate with vendors, and ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, EPA certifications for HVAC if needed, and a focus on cost-effective, quality work. A flexible schedule and strong resident relations are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Provide own hand tools; safe use of hand/power tools.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to identify and fix problems.
• Proficient in customer service and interpersonal communication.
• Strong reading, writing and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with internet, word processing, spreadsheets and databases; PMS experience preferred.
• Strong math skills for financial/administrative documents.

Responsibilities

• Assist and complete work orders from resident requests and routine upkeep.
• Oversee and complete the make-ready process for vacant apartments.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance across grounds and common areas.
• Periodically inspect work and develop corrective action plans.
• Inspect contractors/vendors to verify quality and scope.
• Maintain inventory and order supplies/tools within budget guidelines.
• Complete monthly preventative maintenance procedures.
• Assist in budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
• Support cost-cutting by repairing rather than replacing when possible.
• Conduct safety meetings and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Provide customer service to residents and respond to complaints.
