Job summary

Americold is seeking an experienced maintenance leader to oversee daily operations across warehouses, directing engineering and maintenance teams to install, repair, and maintain machinery and utility systems. You will set performance goals, manage budgets, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires hands-on mechanical/electrical work, strong leadership, and the ability to prioritize effectively while meeting operational objectives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience with at least 3 years supervising others.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize.
• Hands-on in mechanical and basic electrical concepts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SAP or Oracle CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Direct and assign work to engineering and maintenance associates, set performance objectives, and monitor team performance.
• Prepare annual maintenance budgets, schedule expenditures, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions to achieve financial objectives.
• Determine work priorities and schedule repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to support operational productivity.
• Design, implement, and modify preventive maintenance programs by reviewing reports, inspecting equipment, and ensuring operational standards are met.
• Ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations and state codes, maintain a safe and clean working environment, and protect employees and visitors.
• Maintain and analyze equipment reliability reports, initiate action plans for improvement, and ensure material handling equipment is operational and in good repair.
• Execute capital projects including obtaining bids, submitting requests, and managing contractors and vendors throughout the process.
• Other essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.
