Job summary

Americold is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee daily maintenance operations across a warehouse complex, directing engineering and maintenance teams, and ensuring safety, reliability, and cost controls.

You will manage budgets, schedule preventive maintenance, and drive continuous improvement in equipment performance while maintaining OSHA compliance and safe working conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance with at least 3 years directly managing or supervising others.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize effectively.
• Fully competent in mechanical and basic electrical concepts with hands‑on work.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and experience with SAP or Oracle CMMS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Direct and assign work to engineering and maintenance associates, set performance objectives, and monitor team performance.
• Prepare annual maintenance budgets, schedule expenditures, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions to achieve financial objectives.
• Determine work priorities and schedule repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to support operational productivity.
• Design, implement, and modify preventive maintenance programs by reviewing reports, inspecting equipment, and ensuring operational standards are met.
• Ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations and state codes, maintain a safe and clean working environment, and protect employees and visitors.
• Maintain and analyze equipment reliability reports, initiate action plans for improvement, and ensure material handling equipment is operational and in good repair.
• Execute capital projects including obtaining bids, submitting requests, and managing contractors and vendors throughout the process.
• Other essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.
