Job summary

Ensono seeks a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer to support ISV software on ISVRemote and z/OS environments in the United States. You will install, upgrade, test, configure, and implement software while maintaining on-call support and coordinating with vendors.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of mainframe experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and deep knowledge of z/OS, SMP/E, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL, and USS. Strong teamwork and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7+ years of experience within a mainframe environment in a large enterprise.
• Bachelor’s degree required and/or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of z/OS and z/OS installation and maintenance including SMP/E.
• Strong knowledge of TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL.
• Strong knowledge of Unix System Services (USS).
• Knowledgeable in z/OS security and systems programming functions.
• Ability to work well as a team member and stay composed during major incidents.

Responsibilities

• Incident, change and problem handling.
• Configuration and customization of z/OS and related products.
• Setup of parameters and system tuning.
• Communication with vendors and participation in technical projects.
• Maintaining solid knowledge of z/OS and related product software.
• Supporting problem resolution and implementing changes.
