Job summary

Slalom is seeking an experienced Mainframe QA Lead to support a large-scale Core Banking Modernization and Core Deposit Replacement Program. You will lead manual testing across critical banking applications that integrate with a new core banking platform, combining mainframe expertise with banking domain knowledge.

This role is highly visible within a major enterprise transformation, focused on quality, accuracy, and reliability across application integrations and customer account processing

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software QA/testing required.
• Experience leading manual testing on large enterprise programs.
• Proficient in mainframe applications and data validation across systems.
• Hands-on Tosca and qTest usage.
• Strong defect management and root cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead manual testing activities for a critical workstream within a large-scale core banking transformation program.
• Execute test cases and validate business processes across mainframe and integrated banking applications.
• Create, maintain, and enhance test scripts, test scenarios, and test execution documentation.
• Validate end-to-end account lifecycle and account servicing processes across multiple systems.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure accurate transmission of customer and account information between applications.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and other QA teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Support test planning, defect triage, status reporting, and release readiness activities.
• Utilize test management and execution tools to manage testing activities and reporting.
