Job summary

Slalom is seeking an experienced Mainframe QA Lead to support a large-scale Core Banking Modernization and Core Deposit Replacement program. You will lead manual testing across critical banking applications that integrate with a new core platform.

The ideal candidate combines strong mainframe testing expertise with banking domain knowledge and hands-on experience managing end-to-end test activities in a highly visible enterprise transformation initiative.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software QA/testing experience.
• Experience leading manual testing on large enterprise programs.
• Strong experience testing mainframe applications and transactions.
• Navigate mainframe screens and validate data across systems.
• Experience developing and executing manual test cases and test scripts.
• Hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca and qTest.
• Strong defect management and root-cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead manual testing for a workstream within a large-scale core banking transformation program.
• Execute test cases across mainframe and integrated banking applications.
• Create, maintain, and enhance test scripts, test scenarios, and test execution documentation.
• Validate end-to-end account lifecycle and servicing processes across multiple systems.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure accurate transmission of customer/account data.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and other QA teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Support test planning, defect triage, status reporting, and release readiness activities.
• Utilize test management and execution tools to manage testing activities and reporting.
