Job summary

Slalom seeks an experienced Mainframe QA Lead to support a large-scale Core Banking modernization and core deposit replacement program. The role focuses on leading manual testing across critical banking applications, validating end-to-end processes, and ensuring data integrity between systems.

The candidate will manage test scripts, defect tracking, and collaboration across business, product, and development teams to guarantee test coverage and release readiness on a remote EST-hours schedule.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software quality assurance and testing experience.
• Proven experience leading manual testing efforts on large enterprise programs.
• Hands-on experience with testing mainframe applications and transactions.

Responsibilities

• Lead manual testing activities for a critical workstream within a large-scale core banking transformation program.
• Execute test cases and validate business processes across mainframe and integrated banking applications.
• Create, maintain, and enhance test scripts, test scenarios, and test execution documentation.
• Validate end-to-end account lifecycle and account servicing processes across multiple systems.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure accurate transmission of customer and account information between applications.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and other QA teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Support test planning, defect triage, status reporting, and release readiness activities.
• Utilize test management and execution tools to manage testing activities and reporting.
