Job summary

Slalom is seeking an experienced Mainframe QA Lead to support a large-scale Core Banking Modernization and Core Deposit Replacement program. You will lead manual testing across critical banking applications that integrate with a new core platform, combining mainframe expertise with banking domain knowledge.

This is a high-visibility role within a major enterprise transformation, focused on quality and reliability across integrated systems and customer account processing.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software quality assurance and testing experience.
• Experience leading manual testing on large enterprise programs.
• Testing mainframe applications and transactions.
• Navigate mainframe screens and validate data across interconnected systems.
• Develop and execute manual test cases and test scripts.
• Hands-on with Tricentis Tosca and qTest.
• Experience validating data elements, business rules, and downstream processing.
• Strong defect management and root-cause analysis.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead manual testing activities for a large-scale core banking transformation program.
• Execute test cases and validate business processes across mainframe and integrated banking applications.
• Create, maintain, and enhance test scripts, test scenarios, and test execution documentation.
• Validate end-to-end account lifecycle and servicing processes across multiple systems.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure accurate transmission of customer and account information.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and other QA teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Support test planning, defect triage, status reporting, and release readiness activities.
• Utilize test management and execution tools to manage testing activities and reporting.
